china and wine curio cabinet
this versatile lighted china and wine cabinet was given to me by a friend who was downsizing her space. i love the beautiful arched beveled glass doors. this piece mixes form and function effortlessly. it was redone using annie sloane chalk paint with paris grey as the primary color way and dry brushed with accents of french linen, old white, coco and ochre. this piece was finished with clear wax and slightly distressed. new hardware by cynthia rowley.
hepplewhite style dresser
this hepplewhite inspired highboy dresser was part of a set I purchased for my mother a few years back from a local second hand store. this vintage mahogany piece from the early 1900's has elegant curves and it is finished in ben moore's hale navy high gloss with new brushed gold pulls.
hepplewhite style end tables
this 1940's pair of end tables once belonged to a client of mine's great aunt and spent most of their life in an apartment in new york city. I happily inherited them and refinished them in high gloss tricorn black by sherwin williams. the hardware is original and polished to a bright luster. the drawers are lined in a beautiful victorian damask wallpaper.
upholstered accent chair
this lovely vintage regency style arm chair has such elegant curves and lines and is reminiscent of a bygone era. it was painted a high gloss smoke grey and upholstered in a cotton fabric featuring storm gray leafy damask with wisteria and lilac light purple birds.
shabby chic demilune accent table
this curved demilune accent table has fluted legs and victorian floral embellishments. it has been painted in the shabby chic style with annie sloane pure white chalk paint and lightly distressed.
nautical inspired dresser
i picked up this clean lined dresser from the curb and upcycled it with a nautical flair. we used it as a stand alone piece under a window in a master bedroom walk in closet at a client's beach house. the master was painted sherwin williams seaglass so I did this roomy six drawer dresser in a slightly bolder scheme of annie sloane's ducks egg blue and scandanavian pink. i love the way the pink sides show when the drawers are opened. i lined the drawers with a fun striped wallpaper and added new rope and metal hardware finish off the piece.
sleigh toddler bed
this sleigh style toddler bed is the perfect example of upcycling at its best. all this stylish bed needed was a bit of a facelift with a new coat of gloss white paint and new slides to accommodate its roomy and functional pull out drawer. I added a fun gray quatrefoil wallpaper to the drawer for a bit of flair.
